Specifications include, but are not limited to: .Contractor shall deliver, pickup, test, and dispose of 20 cubic yard material storage bins.Bins shall be delivered empty and Caltrans forces will fill the bins with rinse pit materialgenerated by the onsite rinse rack located at the Eureka Bracut Maintenance Facility inDistrict 1. Due to the facility’s geographic location within specially designated protectedzones, local and county regulations potentially classify the rinse pit material as hazardoustothe Intertidal Area and require it to be properly stored and removed as hazardous waste.B.Work under this Agreement shall include hazardous waste assessment, identification, andcharacterization of stored hazardous waste by Contractor in advance of pickup andsubsequent disposal. Each bin that is picked up shall be tested prior to removal.C.Contractor shall utilize only laboratories certified by the Environmental LaboratoryAccreditation Program (ELAP) for soil samples taken for work done on this Agreement.D.Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to test, identify, reducecontamination, neutralize waste, and remove, transport, and legally dispose of wastesubstances and other materials generated at the Caltrans maintenance facility, by theCaltrans’ Contract Manager (Contract Manager). The bid rate shall include all PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) (levels C and D), completion of quarterly reports, and chain ofcustody. Materials shall include all labels, manifests, packing absorbents, drum liners, andincidental testing materials. Equipment shall include all incidental hazmat equipment,delivery equipment, pickup equipment, storage bins (as described in Exhibit A, Section 7,Special Provisions), and any other equipment necessary to provide the services requiredby this Agreement.E.Caltrans’ types of waste may include, but is not limited to, hazardous, non-hazardous,environmentally regulated, universal, and biological, which may be containerized orstockpiled. Waste may also include petroleum-based asphalt; soil/absorbent contaminatedwith oil, diesel or gasoline; waste from asphalt tanks, wash rack clarifiers, hydraulic hoistpits, kettles, used motor oil; polychlorinated biphenyls. The Caltrans Contract Manager maydetermine other hazardous waste or environmentally regulated waste that will be handledunder the terms of this Agreement.F.Contractor shall, throughout the terms of this Agreement, maintain all applicable Californiaand Federal licenses, endorsements, registrations, identification numbers, and permits forthe removal, transport, and/or storage of hazardous and regulated materials as describedherein.
