Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department currently utilizes RadioIP to establish and maintain a secure connection between field devices and the internal network, across all available client-side interfaces such as Wi-Fi, cellular and radio. The RadioIP system is provided and maintained by the Public Safety Enterprise Communications (PSEC) division of Riverside County IT. Due to the expected growth and utilization requirements of the secure network infrastructure, and the current limitations of the RadioIP system, the Department is looking to replace that system with Mobile Device Security Software products and services. Mobile Device Security Software Solution provides the following functionalities: VPN functionality with end to end encryption with FIPS 140-2 AES encryption. Active Directory Authentication with Policy based Controls. Network Access Control based on Windows Patch level, Virus Protection, and Firewall functionality. Traffic Optimization/Compression with Split Tunneling Capability. Seamless roaming between multiple networks (ie LAN, WiFi, Cellular) with session persistence while maintaining the devices static IP address. Cellular Data Coverage & GPS Location Analytics. Pre-logon connectivity for Remote Management & Patching These functionalities are essential because the Sheriff’s daily operations are highly dependent on mobile networks for access to business-critical applications. Reliable connections that optimize our performance through our wireless-network is highly desirable to support the department users.
