Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Providing an independent, objective, third-party view of the project or solution efforts with the intent of protecting the County’s interests. b. Providing personnel, processes, approaches and tools to perform services for County of Santa Clara information technology projects. c. Performing assessments on project or solution management processes and work products. d. Providing objective observations and recommendations. e. Assessing and reporting overall project or solution performance, extrapolating future project progress and success, and identifying any possible impediments to successful program and/or project completion. f. Developing performance metrics that facilitate the tracking of progress / completion of project or solution tasks and milestones. g. Reviewing all project or solution cost and expenditure documentation and making recommendations for efficient use of funds. h. Validating identified risks and issues and proposed response(s) and assessing impact to the project or solution progress or success. i. Verifying and validating the quality of the project or solution work products (deliverables). j. Provide presentations and oral reports, attend meetings and events, perform records management and administrative responsibilities related to the project or solution, and maintain open and effective communication with the County’s Project Manager, Sponsor(s), and other entities.
