Specifications include, but are not limited to: Assist the City in developing approaches and technical specifications for inclusion in City bidding and contract documents related to rehabilitation and domestic water well installation projects; Provide on-site assistance to act as the City’s representative during well drilling and construction activities of new groundwater wells; Perform preventative monitoring of wells, including testing and monitoring of performance, water level, water quality and trends that might affect the supply; Advise the City of regulatory requirements and assist the City with implementing these actions; Perform groundwater research studies and conduct field surveys to identify new sources of groundwater, evaluate costs of potential new sources, and make recommendations to the City; Assess performance of existing storm water infiltration devices. Develop model to estimate the quantity of runoff infiltrated by existing infiltration devices into the groundwater aquifer and make recommendations to the City on how to monitor and measure infiltration quantities for purpose of groundwater credits; and Provide hydrogeological and operational support for City personnel, as needed.
