Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase 1: Preliminary Geotechnical InvestigationProvide a preliminary geotechnical investigation on the physical properties of surface and subsurface conditions of the RHT project site, as well asprovision ofgeotechnical recommendations for designof both building and site utilities. Deliverable: A preliminary geotechnical report, discussions and presentation.Scope shall includesite boringsand analysis, a detailed soils report, recommendations for type of foundations systems, andsite investigation sufficient to determine desired backfill conditions for underground utilities.All geotechnical/geo-hazard reports shall comply with the requirements of Title 24, Part 1, Section 7-117 and the California Building Code.This Report must be prepared and signed and stamped by a California registered geotechnical engineer. Provide California registration number with the RFQ response.Upon selection and prior to performing any field work, the selected firm (that provides drilling, boring or other services requiring excavation) will submit a project specific safety plan. This should include both measures to protect workers and the public as well as hospital patients and staff. The plan shall include analysis of any special site conditions or hazards as well as methods of mitigating risks to an acceptable level. Phase 2: Peer ReviewThe scope for Peer Review ofGeotechnical Services shall include technicalreview of Design-Builder’s Geotechnical Engineer of Record’s investigation and report,feedback for the proposed foundation design system and utility support systems, input on value improvement, documentation of comments into a peer review report (at major milestones), meetings, reviews, and consultation with Owner’s structural peer reviewer and the Progressive Design-Build team.
