Specifications include, but are not limited to: transportation and supervision necessary to complete the GE UPS Repairs Project with related components per industry standards and best practices, and per specifications in strict accordance with the details listed in Appendix A and all of the items discussed at the Mandatory Bidder’s Conference. 2. All work, except noisy operations such as roto-hammering, to be performed during normal working hours. (7a.m. to 4:30 p.m.(PST), M-F) 3. Additional requirements: Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State and Local, rules and regulations that in any manner affect the work. Special attention is called, but not limited to, the Local environmental ordinances. Ignorance on the part of the bidder will in no way relieve him/her from responsibility of compliance with all said laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. 4. Repair (labor, materials, testing) existing GE UPS model SG2-300 a. Conduct site investigation and provide testing to validate condition of existing GE UPS model SG2-300. b. Replace one hundred twenty (120) defective batteries. c. Replace six (6) UPS primary fans. d. Replace three (3) defective Rectifier SCR’s. e. Replace one (1) Rectifier Control Drive Board. f. Provide load bank testing of existing GE UPS model SG2-300 after repairs are completed in the presence of the OSHPD IOR. g. Provide start up and commissioning of existing GE UPS model SG2-300 after repairs are completed in the presence of the OSHPD IOR. h. Provide for disposal of removed batteries and removed equipment. Connection of existing GE UPS model SG2-300 to the hospital. a. Conduct site investigation to determine the method and procedures to transfer all existing hospital electrical loads being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS to the repaired existing GE UPS model SG2-300. All labor, materials, and coordination shall be provided. This work shall be done during weekend hours. b. Provide a detailed field investigation to determine all existing hospital electrical loads being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS. Coordinate site investigation with hospital plant operations electricians. c. Determine a method of providing temporary power to all existing hospital electrical loads being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS. d. Prepare and obtain OSHPD field approval of a “Method of Procedure” (MOP) providing temporary power to all existing hospital electrical loads being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS. e. Electrically disconnect the existing temporary rental UPS from the existing hospital electrical loads being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS. f. Connect the existing hospital electrical loads previously being served power by an existing temporary rental UPS to the repaired existing GE UPS model SG2-300. The removal of the existing temporary rental UPS shall be done by Total Concept Sales (TCS). Include the cost provided by Total Concept Sales (TCS) in this bid for removal of the existing temporary rental UPS.
