Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Policy Development and Strategic Support • Assist in the development of strategies for advancing actions at the federal level that are beneficial to the AGENCIES, their services and their programs; and • Represent and advocate on behalf of the AGENCIES in their dealings with all relevant federal agencies and related interest groups, including, but not limited to, the list above in Section 1. B. Monitor, Evaluate, Advocate and Facilitate Communication • Monitor, report, and advise on activities of Congress, the White House, and federal transportation agencies that are pertinent to transportation providers, public transit agencies and policies in general, with an emphasis on activities that have a potential impact on the AGENCIES’ and their programs; • Assist the AGENCIES in developing working relationships with the Congress, including members and staff of transportation, appropriations, and other relevant committees; o Serve as the AGENCIES’ liaison to federal agencies, including but not limited to the U.S. Department of Transportation; the Federal Transit Administration; the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Railroad Administration.
