Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Final (100%) draft of an accessory dwelling unit plan in 24” X 36” size (if selected). 2. A narrative statement describing the architectural style of each prototype ADU design and the alternative exterior treatments and architectural accents for each unit type. 3. Each ADU shall be between 300 and 1000 square feet in size. Single and two-story plans are acceptable. 4. Each unit is to include a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom(s), (except studio), closet, and living area. 5. Energy calculations are required for each unit. While these calculations will change based upon the location of the construction site, enough information must be submitted to provide the City with confidence that the unit will be able to meet the State of California’s requirements, including solar.
