Specifications include, but are not limited to: On January 15, 2019, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer committed to undertaking a disparity study to examine the contracting practices for the City of San Diego (City). As part of the Mayor’s commitment to a City that works for all, he authorized to commission a study to determine if the companies that do business with the City reflect the City’s diversity. The study is to identify whether or not any gaps exists in the organization’s contracting with traditionally underrepresented groups, and it is to include recommendations on how to remedy those gaps. The study will encompass contracts for public works projects (including construction, engineering, and architectural services, including A&E consulting) and operations and maintenance (goods, services, and consulting). The City seeks proposals from vendors to provide disparity study services who have expertise and demonstrated experience in this field. The awarded contract will be for a term of five (5) years.
