Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project’s key goals and success indicators include the following: • Reduce and automate manual paper based processes • Elimination of duplicate data entry Improvement to work scheduled, document real time progress, increase communications and status of projects among City departments • Improvements to and updating of outdated technology • Improvement to business processes based on best practices • Support work flow capacities to automate the work order process • Broaden employee self-service capabilities, specifically in the field • Improved inventory and maintenance management of City linear and networked assets, such as sewer and storm water pipes, sidewalks and electrical • Provide an inventory system for materials and supplies to support work orders • Improved asset management – tracking resources and cost associated with staff, vehicles, tools, materials, etc. • Provide access to source data and user-friendly reporting tools • Improvements of system and data integration with appropriate systems, where required • Supporting open industry standards in hardware and software that allows information to be distributed between the proposed systems and existing systems
