Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall be required to complete the repairs of four round full-concrete columns (Approximately 9 feet in Height with an 8-foot Circumference) and one round half-concrete column (Approximately 9 feet in Height with an 8-foot Circumference). Columns to be wrapped with stainless steel sheet metal. A. Material All materials must be pre-cut and fabricated off-site and ready for install on site. • Stainless Steel Sheet Metal • Type 304 Grade • Brushed Finish • 14 Gauge Thickness B. Repair to include but not limited to the following: • Remove existing metal bumpers and store aside for reinstallation. a) Replacement of bumpers damaged during removal • Secure Sheet to columns. • Seams are to be lap joint welded using proper techniques that ensure no burn through, warping, discoloration or heat-affected zones. • MIG weld all seams using ER308, ER308L or ER308LSI wire. Use a tri-mix shielding gas consisting of 90% Helium/ 8% Argon/ 2% Carbon Dioxide. • Contractor to provide proof of MIG AWS certification. • Circumference of welded sheet metal wrap shall match existing column circumference within ¼” tolerance • Wrap half column with 14 gauge. 304 Stainless Steel sheet metal and install 304 S.S. angle flashing under total edge of sheet metal. • Reinstall existing bumpers into its original locations.
