Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide on-call and routine scheduled maintenance, all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the maintenance and repair of four (4) avalanche control (LoCAT) systems to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). 2) Contractor shall provide 24-hour support by telephone at no cost to field end-users of LoCAT systems during winter operations. 3) Contractor shall document any work performed on each LoCAT system and provide written copies to the Caltrans Contract Manager or designee prior to payment of any invoice for said work. 4) Caltrans will provide a clean indoor working space with 110v electricity for off -season work on the LoCAT systems. 5) Caltrans will remove the launchers from their respective mounts during off-season to facilitate maintenance and repairs by the Contractor 6) Caltrans will provide transportation and assistance from the nearest maintenance station to the launcher, when launchers are deployed during winter operations. 7) Caltrans will provide records of the rounds fired at each target (copies of shot records) for each LoCAT system to the Contractor at the end of each avalanche season. 8) Used or failed parts removed by the Contractor during the course of inspection, repair, or replacement shall remain the property of Caltrans and must be provided to the Caltrans Contract Manager or designee prior to payment of any invoice. 9) The Contractor shall maintain an inventory of spare parts to expedite repairs when required. 1) Launcher and plate: Disassemble, remove seal, clean, lubricate, and install new seals and re-assemble. 2) Main Seal: Remove seals, clean, lubricate, and install new seals. 3) Fire Seal: Remove seals, clean, lubricate, and install new seals. 4) Proximity Sensor: Check sensor gap adjust if required. 5) Sleeve: Remove, inspect for damage, lubricate, and replace. 6) Buffer: Remove, inspect, and replace if necessary. 7) Outer sleeve seals and back-up o-ring: Remove seals, clean, lubricate, and install new seals. 8) Inner seal and back-up o-ring: Remove seals, clean, lubricate, and install new seals
