Specifications include, but are not limited to: GEL COATING (INSIDE) AND TWO PART EPOXY PAINTING (OUTSIDE): The inside of both slides will be properly prepared to assure there is a smooth surface and no nicks, chips, cracks, or any other type of defects that will minimize the life of the new gel coating or that could protrude or reflect through the final finish of the slide causing a hazard to a rider of the slide including cuts, abrasions, scratches or a change in velocity. The preparations will include pressure washing, sanding, caulking, buffing, and/or any other method that will provide a surface that will allow adhesion to gel coats on the inside of the slides or two part epoxy paint on the outside of the slides. Preparation will also include removing any existing caulk or other material within the joints of slide sections and proper preparation of any additional exposed surfaces. The joints of all slides will have new caulking or other suitable materials to provide a water tight joint and a smooth and comfortable ride to users of the slides. The chalking shall also be a consistent match to the color of the slide. The slides will be refinished with products which, when completed, will be color matched as closely as possible to the original color of the slides.
