Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County is seeking the coefficient of friction of the existing pavement to determine what factor the “slickness” of the road is to the accidents. The County anticipates that the firm selected for this work shall propose and conduct an appropriate CTM (California Test Methods) or ASTM approved test suitable for the high grades at the location to determine the coefficient of friction of the existing pavement. The firm shall perform testing at 10 locations along Almond Avenue as directed by a County engineer, while conforming to established test methods and procedures. The firm shall prepare a report detailing the tests performed, location of tests, results of tests, and any related data for each test performed.
