Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Eastern European Middle Eastern (EE/ME) Underserved Cultural Communities (USCC) subcommittee was established under the Mental Health Services Act for the purpose of increasing mental health access and reducing disparities for the EE/ME Community that resides in the County of Los Angeles. This group works closely with community partners and consumers in order to increase the capacity of the public mental health system to develop culturally competent recovery oriented services as well as to develop capacity building projects. II. Purpose A local Armenian television station will be contracted to produce, direct, host, and broadcast a weekly mental health show in the Armenian language. The show will consist of twenty-eight (28) half-hour episodes, where various mental health topics will be presented. The Armenian Mental Health Show will include episodes on the following topics: depression, anxiety, couples therapy, trauma, and intergenerational issues. The show will provide an opportunity for the Armenian Community to be educated and informed on the symptoms associated with a variety of different psychological disorders and how the psychotherapeutic process looks like.
