Specifications include, but are not limited to: interior and exterior renovations of building C and the north yard at Westside Research Park (WRP). The renovation of approximately 4,393 interior square feet is proposed to meet the research lab requirements and includes the following: a Biosafety Lab 2 (Portion of Room C171), Performance & Sensor Calibration Lab (Portion of Room C182), Soil Sensor Development Lab (Portion of Room C182), Calibration Sensor Lab (Portion of Room C182), shared autoclave room (Portion of Room C171), and the North Corporation Yard will incorporate the outdoor elements of the program, along with utility sheds and associated sitework, that are necessary to conduct research. Updates also include new exterior windows, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers, process piping, electrical, telecommunications, security systems, fire alarm systems and audio-visual systems would also occur. In addition to interior renovations to building C, the project includes installation of an 886 square foot new outdoor fenced area with weaved screening on a new concrete pad at the western side of the exterior of the building. The renovations to the side yard include two new door openings in the exterior wall to facilitate researcher's direct access to the Soils lab for delivery of soil material.
