The District is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide basic preventative maintenance (PM) services for swimming pools and all associated equipment at its four (4) high school locations. Services include, but are not limited to, regular pool cleaning, chemical treatment, and routine inspection and maintenance of pool systems and equipment. This service would require 2 days per week for pool equipment room checks and maintenance (separated by a minimum of 3 days - Monday to Friday) and 1 day per week vacuuming and cleaning at each of the 4 HLP high school pools. Duties and on-call responses as listed below. For the safety and wellbeing of the swimmers who use the pools and the maintenance and service life of the pool equipment, the District wishes to ensure that only an experienced swimming pool contractor employing licensed, trained, and experienced employees be awarded this service. 2. Pool Locations. a. Glen A Wilson High School (25 Yard x 25 Meter) • Approximately 325,000 gallon pool. • 25 HP circulation motor and pump. • Four (4) EKO 3 filter tanks with automatic backwash valves with automatic backwash valves. • Becs 7 pool water chemistry, pool circulation pump and VFD, filter backwash, and pool water level integrated controller. • Liquid chlorine bulk storage tank with injection pump for chlorine control. Chemicals supplied by others. • Muriatic acid bulk storage tank with injection pump for pH control. Chemicals supplied by others. • Lochinvar “Crest” pool water indirect heat exchanger heater. b. La Puente High School (25 Yard X 30 Meter) • Approximately 347,000 gallon pool. • 30 HP circulation motor and pump. • Three (3) Eko3 sand filter tanks with automated backwash valves. • Becs 7 pool water chemistry, pool circulation pump and VFD, filter backwash, and pool water level integrated controller. • Liquid chlorine bulk storage tank with injection pump for chlorine control. Chemicals supplied by others. • Muriatic acid bulk storage tanks with injection pump for pH control. Chemicals supplied by others. • (1) CO2 bulk storage tank for total alkalinity and pH control. • Lochinvar “Crest” (2) pool water indirect heat exchanger heaters (1.5 million BTU each). c. Los Altos High School (25 Yard x 25 Meter) • Approximately 325,000 gallon pool. • 25 HP circulation motor and pump. • Four (4) EKO 3 filter tanks with automatic backwash valves. • Chemtrol 6000 Chemical Controller. • Liquid chlorine bulk storage tank with injection pump for chlorine control.
