Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, on behalf of Correctional Health Services ("CHS"), is releasing this Request for Information ("RFI") to obtain information from qualified mental health agencies that may be interested in contracting with the County to provide Structured Programming Services ("Services") to CHS patients who are in custody at the County jail. The ideal agency will have the experience and capacity to provide structured clinical and/or psycho-educational groups ("Group Therapy") to seriously mentally ill incarcerated patients using an evidence-based approach. The County is currently envisioning a multi-faceted approach to increase its capacity to provide Group Therapy to Inmates by approximately 12,200 Inmate hours per week, or approximately 1,525 groups per week based on a 1:8 provider to Inmate ratio. Group Therapy should be available in multiple languages, and appropriately coordinated with CHS. A. Curriculum 1) Agency will obtain approval of a curriculum of structured clinical and/or psycho-educational groups to provide to seriously mentally ill incarcerated patients. B. Documentation 1) Agency staff will document attendance of each participant, their level of participation, and clinical information regarding the treatment provided after each session. C. Language 1) Services should be available to be conducted fluently in, at a minimum, English and Spanish. D. Reporting 1) Monthly reports regarding the specific CHS Inmates who received Group Therapy 2) Summary annual reports regarding the following: a. Inmate volumes b. Total hours of Group Therapy provided to Inmates. E. Timeliness 1) Services will be provided at times mutually agreed upon and memorialized in a County approved contract.
