Specifications include, but are not limited to: II. SYSTEM MAINTENANCE The Contractor shall inspect and test quarterly the entire security system, including all devices, wiring connections, communication links and battery capacity. The dates and times shall be scheduled at a time agreeable to both parties. The CDCR Parole Office's Supervising Program Technician or Lead Clerical must be present during the inspection and quarterly testing and sign the inspection certificate. The Contractor shall forward a copy of the completed quarterly inspection certificate to the address specified in Exhibit B, Budget Detail and Payment Provisions. Approval for payment shall be contingent upon receipt of the completed quarterly inspection certification. In the case of fire alarm protection, CDCR will notify the Contractor in writing of any change in its fire rating bureau or agency. III. REPAIR SERVICE The Contractor shall provide maintenance service (repair and parts) on an as-needed basis to keep the equipment in good operating condition. Replacement parts will be furnished by the Contractor, at the Contractor's expense, and will be new or equivalent to new in performance. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of all parts that are replaced. The Contractor shall respond to requests for repair service within eight (8) hours from the time of notification. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDCR agrees to make the facility accessible to the Contractor if repairs cannot be completed within the normal business hours and the Contractor can complete the necessary repairs during non-business hours. If equipment cannot be repaired within 24 hours of notification, and/or the necessary repairs impair the operation of the system whereby security of the facility may be jeopardized, the Contractor shall notify the Parole Office Contract Liaison immediately upon discovery. The Contractor shall provide an explanation of why the equipment cannot be repaired and an estimated completion date. If an emergency repair is necessary during non-business hours, the Contractor shall make an emergency call to repair the equipment. If the need for repair was created by CDCR, CDCR agrees to reimburse the Contractor for each emergency call at the rate specified in the Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet.
