Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Review of psychological test, questionnaires, relevant psychological and medical history records, previous psychological reports, and background investigation information must be completed at least two business days prior to the scheduled interview date. The documents to be reviewed by the interviewing doctor shall be provided by the PSP. If any issues, such as missing material are discovered with the documents, it will be the interviewing doctor’s obligation to immediately notify the PSP Manager. Any issues must be resolved at least one day prior to conducting the face-to-face psychological interview. 2. Conduct semi structured psychological interviews. The interviewing doctor shall verify each applicant’s identity by asking the applicant to provide one of the following types of valid photo identification: a driver’s license, military ID, government ID or passport, prior to the interview. All evaluation interviews shall be scheduled no less than 75 minutes apart and are required to last a minimum of 40 minutes. The interview times for six (6) evaluations in one day are: 9:00 am, 10:15 am, 11:30 am, 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:15 pm. Any request to deviate from these interview times must be pre-approved by the PSP Chief Psychologist and the Assistant Chief, Peace Officer Appointment Section.
