Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Preventative Maintenance: At a minimum of every six months, the Contractor shall perform manufacturer’s recommended maintenance necessary to prolong longevity of each pipette and to ensure integrity of performance necessary to meet CLIA requirements. Contractor shall provide services to the pipettes that are listed in Exhibit A, Attachments I and II (equipment lists) along with any new pipette(s) that shall be obtained by the authorized laboratory during the term of this contract. Such preventative maintenance, when needed, will include some or all of the following: cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, replacement of seals and O-rings and other worn parts, and replacement of dead batteries. Contractor shall also replace any defective parts discovered during inspection. Contractor shall provide all replacement parts within five (5) business days or in an expeditious manner. B. Inventory: The models of pipettes include manual and electronic, and single and multichannel varieties. Branch names commonly used (but not restricted to) at VRDL and MDL include Rainin, Gibson, Eppendorf, and Finnpipette. The requested services shall be performed on CDPH laboratory equipment as listed in Exhibit A, Attachments I and II; and any replacement pipettes purchased during the contract term and added to the inventory in accordance with the terms of the contract. C. Warranty: All pipettes that receive maintenance are warranted from defects by the Contractor for one year. Replacement part(s) shall also be warranted for six months from time of installment.
