Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. ARMC requires specialized credentialed staff and equipment to perform intraoperative spinal monitoring during surgical neuro and ortho cases, where spinal integrity needs to be monitored continuously during the surgical procedure. This will help allow ARMC to continue to serve the public in a safe and reliable manner while within the hospital’s care. 2. Deliverables/Requirements: a. Provide access to quality certified intraoperative monitoring technicians with real-time professional oversight provided by a licensed physician in the State of California. b. State of California licensed physician must also have, or be able to obtain, privileges to work within ARMC. c. Provide certified staffing, equipment and interpretation required to perform intraoperative Neurophysiologic monitoring for Surgical and Preoperative care. d. The Proposer will provide credentialed technologists to provide electrophysiological (EP) monitoring of patients undergoing neurosurgery, neurosurgical trauma, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, ENT surgery and other surgeries where there is a need for reducing the risk of neurological deficits after operations that involve the nervous system. e. Electrophysiological monitoring techniques include, electroencephalogram (EEG), lower and upper limb somatosensory-evoked potential (SSEP), motor-evoked potential (MEP), electromyography (EMG), brainstem auditory-evoked potentials (BAEP), visual-evoked potentials (VEP), brain and spinal cord mapping, and intraoperative reflex responses. f. Required standards: i. A minimum of two years’ recent experience is required. ii. Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification card with documentation of renewal bi-annually per AHA standards and/or within the renewal period per certifying entity. iii. Completion of Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) credentials from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic & Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). v. Proof of tuberculosis testing (PPD) within the past 12 months. All testing will be completed annually. v. Proof of test for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella titers, or documentation of having been vaccinated or having the actual disease process is required. g. Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) shall be performed by Neuromonitoring Technologists under the supervision of an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Professional. The American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring (ABNM) offers professional board certification in IONM. It is the sole certification dedicated entirely to IONM practice. These professionals can be neurophysiologists, neurologists, biomedical doctoral degree or other qualified experts. All doctors must be licensed in the State of California and have privileges at ARMC at the time of providing services.
