Specifications include, but are not limited to: work in close collaboration in development of an IMP that: Develops a comprehensive and specific statement of interpretive significance based on the Reserve’s depth of resources. Develops primary and secondary interpretive themes and subthemes that reflect a thorough understanding of Tilden’s principles of interpretation 1 and incorporates the Reserve’s tangible and intangible meanings. Establishes a foundation for future interpretive programs and resource development and prioritizes ideas for implementation. Recognizes the diversity of visitor groups and encourages development of off-season or shoulder-season visitation. Takes a comprehensive review of potential interpretive offerings of the Reserve that includes but is not limited to, programming, facilities, signage, media, self-guided, interpretive sales, and partnership opportunities.
