Specifications include, but are not limited to: Independent medical evaluation service provider (IME Service Provider), under the supervision of the director of disability, will be expected to provide the following range of independent medical evaluation services: • Review the medical, employment, and relevant records of a disability retirement applicant (Applicant) by IME Service Provider’s panel physician working on OCERS matters (Panel Physician). o All Panel Physicians providing Services hereunder must meet the following qualifications: Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of California; In good standing with the Medical Board of California; and Is board certified by the American Medical Association, the Medical Board of California, Osteopathic Medical Board of California, or the California Board of Psychology in the field of Neurology. • Perform a comprehensive medical examination of Applicant by a Panel Physician. • Within 30 days of completing the comprehensive medical examination of Applicant, provide a written forensic medical evaluation report (IME Report) prepared by a Panel Physician that addresses all medical and legal questions posed by OCERS relating to the evaluation of Applicant’s disability retirement application...
