Specifications include, but are not limited to: ontractor shall build the fence per the specifications set forth in the 2009 Greenbook, Chain Link Fence, Sections 206-6 and 304-3. Behind the reservoir is a steel plate covering an altitude valve. There will be a 10' clearance between fence and edge of plate. Contractor shall be responsible to field-check dimensions. Contractor shall be responsible for all measurements and quantities necessary to satisfactorily complete the job. Prior to installation, Contractor shall: Contact U.S.A. Locate and have all utilities located before digging or drilling holes for posts. Contractor will need to notify City staff when U.S.A. Locate will be on site, to allow access onto the property. Provide MSDS (material safety data sheets) for any hazardous materials; i.e., epoxy, fumes, sparks, etc. resulting from the installation process. Apply for and obtain a no fee building permit from the City of Redding Building Division and comply with all requirements therein including the scheduling of all required Building Department inspections, if applicable. Contractor shall furnish and install 250 linear feet of new nine (9) gauge, galvanized non-climb 72" tall chain link fence, topped with three (3) rows of razor wire extending no more than 18” above the fence. Fencing will begin and terminate on existing fence. The remaining fence on property will basically be abandoned in place. No gates are to be installed, just fencing. There is no water for mixing concrete on site. a) All fencing shall be plumb, level, and square. b) Contractor shall follow (ASTM standard practice for installation of chain link fencing.) c) Fence shall be 72" tall, above grade. d) Maximum spacing between fence posts shall not exceed ten feet. e) End and corner posts shall be set into earth a minimum measurement of thirty-six inches. f) Line posts shall be set into earth a minimum measurement of twenty-four inches. g) All posts shall be set into earth with 2500 PSI concrete, post holes shall be free of debris, and any loose soil. h) Footing width shall be four times the post width (10 inch diameter minimum). i) Fence shall have a schedule 40 (1 5/8") top rail. j) Line posts shall be schedule 40 (1 7/8") k) End posts (terminal) shall be (2 3/8") l) Chain link fabric shall be hog ringed to bottom tension wire. m) Chain link fabric shall be twisted at top. n) All fabric shall be taut and properly secured so there is no sagging. o) Fence shall have dome caps on all posts. s) Fence shall be topped with three (3) rows of razor wire. MATERIALS $ Fence and gate fabric shall be 72' tall, nine (9) gauge, galvanized (non-climb) chain link, topped with three (3) strands of razor material extending no more than 18 inches above the fence. $ Top rail shall be 1-5/8" $ Line posts shall be 1-7/8" $ Fence shall be topped with three (3) rows of razor wire $ Fence will begin and terminate onto existing fence, posts will be marked that are to be anchored to.
