Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall design, implement, and evaluate a Cultural Competence Academy (CCA) for San Diego County Behavioral Health Services. This training initiative is a large-scale initiative to further the objectives identified by the Cultural Competency Resource Team (CCRT) and shall be inclusive of the principles of wellness and recovery for ethnic and non-ethnic culturally diverse populations. The CCA shall provide awareness, knowledge and skill-based trainings that focus on clinical and recovery interventions for multicultural populations while ensuring that all trainings focus on being trauma informed from environmental to clinical applications. Training shall occur for all levels in programs and organizations. Culturally representative trainers shall be sought from within the diverse community to develop the menu of modules. Specific behavioral health trainings across the age span shall be included as directed by the Behavioral Health System of Care through the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
