5. General: The work under this Scope of Work (SOW) is under the jurisdiction of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), who will execute the contract documents, coordinate with the Contractor as necessary, and conduct inspections to ensure the work is being done in strict accordance with the SOW. No deviations from this SOW will be permitted without concurrence and subsequent authorization from the CHP Facilities Coordinator. 6. Work to be performed: A. Clean entire roof of debris and ensure all mold growth is properly removed. B. On flat roof areas any fibers are to be cleaned and swept removing any loose roofing material. C. Contractor shall pressure-wash entire surface to ensure a sound applicable surface free of debris and any contaminates that would cause a failure of adhesive products. D. Repair any damaged materials. E. Contractor shall apply a prime coat (ASC P-1000 Acrylic Super Primer) to entire existing roof surface. F. Contractor shall apply Silicone based coating system to entire existing flat roof area. G. Copings, counter flashing, and other metal work shall be fastened to resist wind uplift and prevent buckling. Metal should be sealed with repair patching compound (ASC 911 Silicone Wet Patch) to vents and other roof penetrations to prevent moisture infiltration. H. Contractor shall apply topcoat (ASC 100% Solids, Silicone Coating). I. Job site and premises will be kept clean, and work will be conducted in a manner least disruptive to site occupants. J. Haul away all debris caused by the above work according to code and industry standards. K. The roofing repair work must be done accordance to industry standards using the very best material available and work done by competent individuals licensed and/or certified by the manufacturer. L. Contractor will guarantee work for two (2) years unconditionally, to include material and labor. M. Product delivery, storage and handling - deliver materials to the job site in original, unopened containers, with the manufacturer's name, brand name and installation instructions.
