Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall examine patients referred by DSH physicians and provide medical personnel to perform Sexual Assault Examination Services at a local Medical Center (local medical center must be within 25 miles of 2100 Napa Vallejo Highway, Napa, CA 94558) on an as needed basis. Contractor shall assure that evaluation and documentation meet the requirements and standards set by Licensing and the Joint Commission. This contract is necessary because DSH is required to ensure the health and welfare of its civilly committed patients. California Code of Regulations (CCR), title 22, section 71513, requires that arrangements for outside services to be made in order to provide appropriate care for patients since DSH not have employ a qualified profession person to render a specific service.
