Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) This specification has been developed to procure substation arc-resistant metal clad switchgear assemblies for the new SMUD Station G Substation project. The substation metal clad switchgear shall be provided in accordance with this specification, industry standards, Bill of Material, substation drawings and specification attachments. The Contractor shall be responsible for the design, drawings, documentation, material, fabrication, equipment, delivery and testing of the complete substation metal clad switchgear. The substation metal clad switchgear shall include the enclosure, anchor bolts, circuit breakers, bus, relays, wiring, AC panels, DC panels, lights, receptacles, HVAC, doors and miscellaneous material required to facilitate a complete installation. 2) The environmental conditions stated in the Station G Metal Clad Switchgear Specifications (STG-MCSWGR Rev 0) shall apply for the switchgear. 3) The substation metal clad switchgear/equipment shall be designed and qualified to meet or exceed the requirements of IEEE 693-2005 “High” seismic loading case. A seismic analysis qualification report certified by a California professional engineer shall include all switchgear enclosure and equipment to be provided. 4) The substation metal clad switchgear shall be delivered, offloaded, assembled, installed and tested by the Contractor. Final commissioning and connection of power & control cables will be by SMUD. 5) The location of the new Station G Substation metal clad switchgear is in Sacramento, California.
