Specifications include, but are not limited to: Score applicant portfolios Secure qualified scorers; train performance scorers; establish inter-rater reliability among scorers; score portfolios; provide applicants with detailed feedback; produce, duplicate, and mail materials to all scorers and applicants; and provide consultant and scorer fees and honorariums. Conduct site visits Secure qualified site visit team members; create three-member site visit teams with appropriate mixtures of expertise; train site visit team members; establish inter-rater reliability among site visit team members; conduct three-day site visits; provide applicants with detailed feedback; produce, duplicate, and mail materials to all site visit team members and applicants; and provide consultant and site visit team members fees, honorarium, and travel expenses. Refine certification system Review state and national quality processes and resources to support refinement of certification system; revise certification system based upon feedback from cohort of scorers, site visit team members, principals, and Academy staff; conduct refinement session with Academy staff to determine changes to be made to the certification system; and create agenda, prepare materials, and conduct briefing for next cohort of potential applicants. Summarize and share the results of the designation process Compile a summary of the results of the designation process for all applicants; share the results of the designation process with the Master Principal Program Leader; and notify scorers, site team members, and principals of the results of the designation process.
