Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Developmental Disabilities Services, (DDS), Conway Human Development Center (CHDC), is seeking bids for the purchase of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) – waived hospital and non-hospital use glucometers. 1. Twenty-five (25) - Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) - Waived hospital-type strip glucometers with twenty-five (25) docking stations (Nova Biomedical StatStrip hospital use glucometers are preferred but DHS will accept alternative devices that meet the requirements specified in this IFB): a. Glucometers must have wired capability. b. Glucometers must be able to transmit data to a central location and accept user-defined rules remotely. c. An annual volume of at least thirty-seven thousand eighty (37,080) strips to be delivered in quarterly shipments. d. Manufacturer must not require that the user establish its own means and ranges for quality control (QC). e. Meter manufacturer must make its own controls/linearity kits required for operation. f. Manufacturer must provide software capable of downloading meters, communicating with meters (including lockouts), and printing reports during the life of the contract. g. Glucometers must be delivered within two (2) weeks of receipt of the initial purchase order. 2. Five (5) - Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) - Waived glucometers for non-hospital use (Companion Nova StatStrip Xpress ®2 GLU non-hospital use glucometers are preferred, but DHS will accept alternative devices that meet the requirements specified on pages thirteen (13) and fourteen (14) of this IFB). Vendor’s non-hospital use glucometers must use the same test strips as the hospital-type glucometers.
