Motorola provides land mobile service (voice). The Little Rock Police Department currently has 85 mobile computers deployed but this number will increase to 300+ in the next three years. The PD currently has 150 iPads in use. The proposed system must be able to accommodate future growth. The Little Rock Fire Department currently has 38 mobile computers deployed. The fire department has indicated that 40-45 Android tablets will be used. From a concurrent mobile data operational standpoint, the Fire Department will have all mobile devices on-line. The Police Department estimates 200-300 combined devices at any given time (laptops, desktops, mobile devices), up to 600.
