Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCOPE OF WORK: The City of Mesa Police Department is seeking a term contract with a qualified Contractor(s) to rent relatively new, low mileage vehicles for undercover activities. Vehicles are to be of various makes and models of passenger vehicles and consist of mid, full and luxury size sedans, ½ ton and ¾ ton short bed trucks with full size, extended or quad cabs, mid and full-size sports utility vehicles and mini vans with dual sliders. The approximate range of monthly requirement is thirty-five (35) total vehicles, with a varying mix of sedans, sport utilities, trucks and vans. The actual number of vehicles at any given time may vary and the City does not guarantee these quantities. The proposal should list daily, weekly and monthly cost for each vehicle category submitted. Offerors are to submit a detailed description of their rental program including, but not limited to, vehicle inventory availability, colors, makes, models, pick-up location, maintenance program, repairs, normal wear and tear, exchange program, towing, record keeping, billing, contracts, turn-around times, confidentiality policy for employees, roadside assistance, mileage allowances, and loaners. All vehicles shall have limo-tinted windows all around to include a six (6) inch strip across the front windshield (Arizona legal and limo tint for surveillance). All vehicles shall be equipped with car alarms. All vehicles are to be the current year model or no more than two (2) model years old, with mileage not to exceed 10,000, and shall be mid to full-size. No compact class or diesel vehicles will be considered. All vehicles shall be of various makes and models of passenger vehicles, ½ ton and ¾ ton trucks with full, extended or quad cabs, mid and full-sized sport utility vehicles and vans.
