Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the aim of the CITY to provide effective and efficient public transportation; enhance overall transportation capacity; reduce traffic congestion, air pollution and the use of petroleum fuels; and improve the quality of urban development. The goals are: Provide high quality, safe, secure and well maintained transit operating facilities, transit centers and park-and-rides. Maintain critical operating facilities that can operate during minor utility outages and emergencies. Operate a system with a minimum goal of 90% or better on scheduled planned maintenance by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and CITY approved guidelines. Produce and follow a CITY approved comprehensive, detailed Facilities Maintenance Plan. Achieve effective communication with CITY and transit operation staff at the facilities. Produce complete, transferable and timely electronic reports and facilities maintenance records for all site components. Reduce operating costs by attending regular meetings with staff and colleagues to obtain information for continuous improvement and improve maintenance efficiency. Maintain a safe work environment for contractors and staff through wellmaintained equipment, regularly monitored schedules, and the use of reasonable risk control techniques.
