Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Once the proper clearances are established, the transformer is deenergized, locked and tagged out and safety grounds are in place, the CAWCD representative(s) and contractor will walk down complete job site to confirm electrical clearances for mobile equipment, tanker staging and laydown areas. Tape off restricted areas. 2) Identify all points to be repaired (this should been already been done to insure the proper gaskets and packing material is on hand). 3) After de-energization, allow the transformer time cool down and depressurize. 4) Check insulation resistance: HV test (5000VDC) primary and secondary terminals to ground, secondary to primary with primary grounded and primary to secondary with secondary grounded. Minimum acceptable reading is 5000MΩ. This is for baseline reference only
