Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor(s) shall provide On-Site Refuse Truck Washing Services, monthly or some other proposed and agreed upon scheduled basis (except as indicated on the pricing sheet for Front Load truck cabs, which may need the trucks cabs to be washed more frequently, at the City of Mesa’s discretion). These washing services are to be performed by one or more crews with mobile washing units. The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to maintain the overall cleanliness of the exterior of City vehicles and equipment. The Contractor is responsible to ensure all vehicles are thoroughly and completely washed, scrubbed and rinsed in a safe and effective manner which will result in a clean vehicle that is acceptable to the City without damage to the vehicle, its paint, glass, or the environment. Solid Waste personnel will inspect all washed equipment immediately upon completion. Vehicles that fail will be immediately rewashed at no charge in order to pass inspection. Payment will be withheld for any vehicles not deemed satisfactory by the Inspector. The Contractor(s) shall wash and clean exterior of each vehicle, removing all of the grease, mud, grime and asphalt. All of the vehicle exteriors are to be washed and rinsed with deionized water. All glass and mirror surfaces are to be 100% streak and spot free.
