Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Coordinate delivery of medical direction with Advanced Life Support and Hospital Base Station medical directors as needed. 2. Assist as requested with the coordination of disaster preparedness and large event emergency medical response to include consultation on infrastructure needs; cooperatively coordinate with other agencies as indicated for the Metropolitan Medical Response System, Urban Area Security Initiative, and Chempack Programs. 3. Assist with the development, medical direction, and provision of continuing education to pre-hospital care providers involving the following programs as needed: Emergency Medical Care Technicians (Basic EMTs and Paramedics) Public Access Defibrillation, Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Child Immunizations, Alternative Transportation Programs, Treat and Refer and Mobile Integrated Health Services (MIHS) program. 4. Participate in Agency reviews of Fire Department General Orders, Regional Standard Operating Procedures, EMS Documentation Guidelines, and EMS Dispatch Protocols as needed. 5. Assist staff with research, development, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement of EMS programs as needed.
