Specifications include, but are not limited to: GERMICIDAL DETERGENT/SANITIZER This specification covers one type of synthetic detergent and germicide cleaner. Designed for general cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing in one operation. TYPE: Liquid REQUIREMENTS 21.1.1. This product shall meet the criteria of the current revision of the Green Seal Standard GS-37. This standard cover product-specific performance requirements and health and environmental requirements. Green-Seal logo on product is not required. 21.1.2. The cleaner will not contain any soap, mercury compounds, chlorine, or formaldehyde, or materials that release such compounds when diluted according to directions. The product must be safe to use in food preparation areas. 21.1.3. Odor: A one to sixty-four (1:64) dilution of the cleaner sanitizer in distilled water will be substantially odorless and will not develop an unpleasant odor on surfaces cleaned. 21.1.4. Product shall have antimicrobial properties and shall be registered with EPA as a sanitizer and/or disinfectant per the requirements of the Federal Insecticide Fungicide & Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). 21.1.5. Hard Water Tolerance: Effective within thirty (30) seconds in waters up to and including 750 p.p.m. of hardness. 21.1.6. Cleaning Efficiency: A one to sixty-four (1:64) dilution of the cleaner will exhibit a cleaning efficiency of not less than eighty percent (80%) when tested as described in Green Seal Standard GS-37 Section 3.0. In solution, the cleaner will provide adequate, but not excessive, suds.
