Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1.The purpose of this specification is to describe an integrally mounted Falling-Weight-Deflectometer (FWD) system equipped with a maximum of fifteen (15) deflection sensing transducers (hereafter called "deflectors"), to be used for a full range of flexible pavement (AC) roadway testing and full range of rigid pavement (PCCP) testing. The FWD system shall include an adequate number of deflectors and associated mounting hardware to perform a full range of AC and PCCP testing. The FWD system will be integrally installed in a truck and is commonly referred to as a Truck Mounted Deflectometer (TMD).3.2.The TMD system provided must be capable of performing FWD testing in accordance with the LTPP manual for FWD measurements and shall be delivered as an assembled unit, fully calibrated following the AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials)R32-19 protocol (or current version), and be certified and ready for immediate use with all equipment necessary for personnel to operate.3.3.The FMD system shall meet or exceed the specifications set forth by ASTM D4694-09 “Standard Test Method for Deflections with a Falling Weight Type Impulse Load Device” (or current version) and ASTM D4695-03 “Standard Guide for General Pavement Deflection Measurements” (or current version) or as specified
