Specifications include, but are not limited to: Maricopa County (County) intends to identify qualified Mental Health Experts (MHEs) who will provide forensic psychological and psychiatric services to the Superior Court of Arizona in the County for Correctional Health Services (CHS). The Court is the identified client and adult/juvenile populations within the County are the are subject of these evaluations. Evaluations are assigned by CHS and officially ordered by the Superior Court on an “as needed” and “case-by-case” basis (See Section 3.2). MHEs will perform the requirements as defined in the scope of work and established by statutes and rules. The County also intends to identify qualified Psychiatrists who will provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment services to forensically involved populations within the County jails. The Court determines forensic involvement, and CHS assigns psychiatric evaluation and treatment services on an “as needed” and “case-by-case basis.” Psychiatrists will perform the requirements as defined in the scope of work, specifically 3.1.1.5 In-Custody Restoration, Psychiatric Treatment Services.
