Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendors to provide a real-time AVL/GPS System to monitor the District’s yellow and white fleets. The primary purpose of the system will be to compare actual driving paths, stop locations, and stop times against planned routes, stops, and times. In addition to vehicle tracking, the proposed system may have the potential of adding student ridership verification, parent communication, and driver time and attendance reporting, which are features that the District may implement at a later date. Amphi provides student transportation services to 21 campuses encompassing 109 square miles in Northern Pima County. Approximately 14,000 students are enrolled throughout the District, with roughly 6,000 students transported on a daily basis.
