Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified and approved electricians must be able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems in a commercial setting according to industry standards. The electrician must be able to install systems based on specifications or blueprints, and must be able to independently evaluate the site and determine where circuit boards, power outlets and load centers need to be. All work to be performed must conform to local and state regulations and must also be consistent with the National Electrical Code. Electrician must be capable of furnishing his or her own tools and equipment necessary to perform the customary duties of an electrician. When materials are needed to complete a project, the Electrician must obtain high quality supplies, materials and parts, unless those items are provided by the City. All Electricians must prepare work orders in advance of scheduled work in order to detail the itemized costs for parts and labor. Electrician will be expected to invoice the City for services and parts provided. Electrician must have a 24-hour telephone number that can be used for emergency callouts. At times, the City will have a need for an electrician to respond within an hour to assess, repair, or patch electric panels that control water and wastewater systems and other emergency situations.
