Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Apply casing pipe to +/- 125’ of 20” HDPE storm sewer owned by the MOA. The pipe in question is located on ARRC land near the ABI Cement Terminal in the Port of Anchorage, as shown in the attached site plan. The contractor will case the pipe from the westerly manhole of the system to a point near where the storm sewer intercepts several petroleum pipelines. The contractor will excavate in compliance with pertinent OSHA requirements, apply bolt together or welded casing, backfill and compact. Excess soils will be disposed of by Thermal Remediation. a. The contractor will supply all materials required to complete the job, including but not limited to: Casing pipe meeting AREMA specification Backfill material as per manufacturers recommendations 2. Track demolition and debris removal – contractor will torch cut, remove and properly dispose of the existing rail track, ties and OTM. Debris and driftwood with in the work site will also be removed and properly disposed of. All material removed becomes the property of the contractor. 3. Foundation trench excavation – Contractor will excavate a trench approximately 20’ wide by 275’ long by 5’ deep (Bottom Elevation +/- 29.5) and place structural backfill with material meeting the following specification: a. Structural fill that is placed should be clean, well-graded, granular soil to provide drainage and frost protection. Type II/IIA structural fill as defined by the MASS meets these requirements. b. The onsite granular fills may be used as backfill above utilities and below the foundation sections. Imported soils shall meet the requirements for Type II/IIA. c. Structural fills shall be placed in lifts not to exceed 12 inches loose thickness, and compacted to 95 percent of the maximum density as determined by the Modified Proctor compaction procedure (ASTM D1557). 1.
