Specifications include, but are not limited to: The boat shall be equipped with a forward cabin providing for reasonable accommodations for three crew members overnighting on the boat for up to 4 days at a time, with kitchenette/dinette included. The aft deck will provide approximately 10-15 ft of clear usable space. The vessel and its components shall be suitable for operation in southeastern Alaska in spring, summer, and fall seasons. The vessel must successfully operate in the following environmental conditions: Ambient air temperatures: 80 deg F to 0 deg F, water temperatures between 30 deg F and 55 deg F., winds speeds between 0 and 60 knots, and wave heights between 0 and 10 feet. The boat shall be constructed of highly durable marine grade materials, suitable for extended field operations by State research staff in southeastern Alaska waters. All components provided by the contractor shall be new or certified professionally refurbished with all necessary documentation (watertight, sea trials, etc.) ; The vessel shall be able to maintain a speed of 25 knots while carrying 1000 pounds of cargo in addition to fuel. ; HULL • Length Overall. Hull length overall (measured from transom to bow) excluding the swim step, shall be at least 32 feet 0 inches. • Length on the Water. The length of that portion of the hull submerged in water shall be at least 28 feet 0 inches. • Beam Overall. Overall beam of the vessel measured at amidships (or just aft of the house) shall be at least 10 feet 0 inches.
