Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University intends to partner with a Contractor who is able to provide annual trade-in of select shells to ensure that the shells used by the University Rowing Team is no older than five (5) years of age at any given time. Technical Details: Shells must be FISA minimum weight It is preferred that the shell options proposed by Respondents have a proven track record of success at the NCAA rowing Championship All shells shall be wired with NK Speakers and Wiring Harness Carbon fiber wing riggers for all boat classes Interchangeable accessories between boat classes without adjustment or modification Airfoil-shaped fin and rudder for all boat classes One-piece-dual angle footboard for all shell classes All shells provided to the University as part of a trade-in purchase program shall be in new condition. Refurbished or used shells will not be accepted As part of the evaluation process of this RFP, the University desires to demo one 8+ shell and/or one 4+ shell at no cost to the University. Demo shells will be requested by the University from Respondent(s) whose proposed shells and trade-in purchase programs are deemed acceptable for potential award as solely determined by the University. Demo shells may not be requested from all Respondents. All Demo shells shall be representative of the shells to be received throughout the trade-in purchase program. It is preferred that demo shells be delivered directly to the University of Alabama Rowing Facility and picked up upon completion. Respondent shall be responsible for the insurance of all demo shells while in the control of the University Rowing Team for the purpose of this solicitation and the evaluation phase
