Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Bidder must be a National Athletic Equipment Reconditioner Association (NAERA) certified member. 2. Helmets shall be reconditioned and recertified in accordance with the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) standards. 3. Current copy of NAERA membership and NOCSAE certification and licensing documentation must be submitted with bid response. 4. Company submitting a bid must have current product liability insurance in the amount of $10,000,000.00 and must be per occurrence and no claims made. Insurance must have an A.M. Best rating of “A” or better (See Attachment B – Insurance Requirements). 5. Bidder must provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts and supplies necessary to recondition and recertify helmets. 6. Bidder must pick-up and deliver helmets to specified school locations (See Exhibit 1 – Pick-up/Delivery Locations). Price shall include pick-up and delivery. 7. Helmets will be cleaned, sanitized, buffed and shined. 8. Face guards will be removed, inspected, and tested; parts replaced when necessary. 9. Chin straps and studs – Only painted helmets to have new chin strap and studs. All old chin straps must be returned to BCS. 10. Air parts will be removed, inspected, sanitized and replaced, when required. 11. Air helmets must have a mixture of both high and low css. 12. Removal of decals, tape, gum, and adhesive residue; removed before helmets painted. 13. Helmets will be painted the same color and gloss; painted after old paint is removed.
