Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.2.1. On behalf of and as directed by the DOI, the contractor will provide actuarialservices for life insurance (including credit life), accident and health (disability) insurance(including credit accident and health), and annuity contracts. As such the contractor willprovide one or more of the following services upon the request of and as directed by theDOI:1.2.1.1.Provide actuarial services for examinations of life and disabilityinsurers, to include health maintenance organizations and health care serviceplans, in accordance with the Market Regulation Manual of the NationalAssociation of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the NAIC’s Financial ConditionExaminers Handbook, the NAIC’s Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual,and DOI regulations and instructions.1.2.1.2. Review actuarial calculations and certifications of policy reserves andrelated liabilities of life and disability insurers.1.2.1.3. Review reinsurance arrangements and other financial information of lifeand disability insurers.1.2.1.4. Review policy forms, rate filings and rating systems of life and disabilityinsurers.1.2.1.5. Provide such other services within the scope of the described servicesas may be determined by the DOI. 1.2.2.The DOI expects the examinations will relate to selected insurers covering threeto five year periods ending December 31, 2019, and December 31, 2020. A copy of alldocumentation relative to the task assigned will be provided at the date of assignment.1.2.3.As may be necessary in the context of a particular examination, Contractor shallcoordinate the activity of all National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)zone examiners.1.2.4. For each examination, the contractor will prepare an examination report inaccordance with the NAIC’s Market Regulation Manual, the NAIC’s Financial ConditionExaminers Handbook, the NAIC’s Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual, anddirections of the DOI. As may be necessary in the context of a particular examination,Contractor may only be required to provide a written report of findings to be incorporatedinto the report of examination of the insurer.1.2.5. As may be necessary, Contractor shall make available one or moreknowledgeable representatives to provide testimony and evidence in any administrativeor court hearing or proceeding arising from Services performed by Contractor.
