Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of geriatric patients with mental health problems and /or needs. 2. Provide services during regular and after hour’s calls for other psychiatrist to take time off so that the patient receives maximum level of stability and functioning in a timely manner. 3. Provide services during regular and after hours so that patients reach a maximum level of stability and functionality in a timely manner. 4. Provide timely documentation in the patient’s health record to include physician’s orders, progress notes, treatment notes, initial psychiatric evaluations, and discharge summaries as it relates to patient’s admission, progress, and discharges as per Mary Starke Harper Geriatric Psychiatry’s policies and procedures. 5. Prescribe treatment, including medications and other therapeutic measures to control or relieve symptomatic or harmful behaviors. 6. Attend and monitor assigned multidisciplinary treatment team meetings/ processes to ensure mandated functions are completed per policies and standards. 7. Provide psychiatric opinion s orally and in writing to the courts as ordered. 8. Comply with all Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH), Mary Starke Harper Center, Joint Commission and CMS specific policies, procedures and standards. 9. Contracted service providers will participate in the Quality Assurance Program for Contracted Services: Any item related to the contracted service may be added for quality assurance. Contractor agrees to provide psychiatric services to forensic patients at THSMF to include but not limited to: 1.
