Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.2.1. On behalf of and as directed by the DOI, the contractor will provide certified public accounting services. As such, the contractor will provide one or more of the following services upon request of and as directed by the DOI: 1.2.1.1. Conduct examinations of insurers, producers, brokers, surplus line brokers, or persons writing preneed funeral and cemetery contracts, all in accordance with the prescribed or permitted statutory accounting principles of the Market Regulation Manual of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the NAIC’s Financial Condition Examiners Handbook, the NAIC’s Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, generally accepted auditing standards, and DOI regulations and instructions. 1.2.1.2. Provide training for examiners, analysts or other DOI personnel on accounting issues. 1.2.1.3. Provide such other services within the scope of the described services as may be determined by the DOI. 1.2.2. As may be necessary in the context of a particular examination, Contractor shall coordinate the activity of all National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) zone examiners.
