Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Deliver comprehensive CDL training curriculum by qualified instructors that meets or exceeds applicable federal curriculum requirements as well as state training, testing, and qualification requirements including theoretical and instructor-led practical components of behind-the-wheel (BTW) range and street driving for City employees to successfully obtain an unrestricted Class of CDL as specified in: 1. 49CFR 380 Special Training Requirements 2. 49CFR 383 Commercial Driver's License Standards; Requirements and Penalties 3. WAC 308-100 DRIVERS' LICENSES—SPECIAL PROVISIONS B. Adjust training curriculum as needed and appropriate to meet any changes in federal or state (Washington and Idaho) requirements that occur during contract period. C. Use qualified instructors, examiners, and routes that meet applicable state qualifications, federal requirements, and maintain appropriate approvals. D. Provide and maintain necessary facilities, equipment, books, supplies, materials, resources, and equipment needed to successfully complete required training and testing. 1. All classroom, range, and vehicles must comply with Federal and State safety requirements and be in the same group and type that driver-trainees intend to operate for their skills test. 2. All facilities and training environments must be smoke-free and free of known safety hazards.
